Mission
When perfectionism rules your life it feels like everything is a personal reflection on you; usually you make things mean something bad about you. If you overthink every decision, get overwhelmed easily by your to-do list and then often find yourself avoiding taking action, you’re likely driven by perfectionism. You hide your true self, ignore your big dreams and discount yourself, just to “fit in”.
My mission: To demonstrate accountability and vulnerability so that other perfectionists find success on their own journey.
“Perfectionism” is a mindset; a perception of the world. Which means, you can change it! As a perfectionist myself, I get it. Logically you understand that “done is better than perfect”, but that’s easier said than done. When I learned that perfectionism was ruling my life, I did the work to overcome it; now it’s my mission to help other perfectionists too. I believe that all my clients have the answers within them, and that you can succeed without changing who you are. By helping clients embody who they authentically are, I help you find your own success and take back control of your life.

My Story: How perfectionism ruled my life.
When perfectionism ruled my life, I was an all-or-nothing, people pleasing, high achiever, determined to endlessly prove myself. I would wake up each day and frantically navigate my busy schedule. Even though I secretly loved how busy I looked, I was overwhelmed, yet ashamed at how little productivity I had to show for my busy day. I people-pleased endlessly, desperate to be likeable and fit-in. Prioritizing everyone else left me feeling resentful, not appreciated and meant I was putting my dreams and desires on hold. I followed all the “Guru’s” advice, but it just wasn’t working… and that became yet another thing to add to the list of failures. At the end of the day I felt so guilty for not accomplishing all my “to-dos” and I would go to bed vowing that tomorrow is going to be different because I am going to be better. But I woke up again anxious to prove myself, and the cycle continued.
What changed? I learned I am a perfectionist, and had an explanation for the disconnect between what I intellectually understood about the advice and the fact I wasn’t able to make it work. When I understood that the perfectionist mindset was driving all my thoughts, feelings, actions and beliefs - it clicked.
I want to say that I snapped my fingers and the next day was cured! But that is being a perfectionist about overcoming perfectionism and not reality. In reality my journey to overcome perfectionism required vulnerability I hadn’t let myself feel before, intense learning and self-awareness, and eventually coaching to reveal my blindspots. By doing the work, becoming more authentic to myself and shifting my mindset, I was able to stop perfectionism from ruling my life. Now I help others do the same, but more efficiently, because I am a coach who 100% gets the perfectionist mindset. My clients don’t need to translate generic mindset advice, you get tailored, proven strategies to address perfectionism. I partner with you, through coaching, to access your own wisdom, find what works for you and take back control of your life.

Hello, I’m Maggie!
I’m a Certified Life and Wellness Coach, a perfectionist, an introvert and a scientist by training. I’m passionate about helping others become the best, most authentic version of themselves. I believe personal development takes you from good to great, because there isn’t anything actually wrong with you.
My values: integrity, vulnerability, growth, persistence, authenticity, abundance, optimism and compassion.
I believe that being in alignment with your personal values is essential to living authentically. I live by these values everyday, both professionally and in my personal life.
I help high-achievers stop letting perfectionism rule their lives. I help people who want to control their actions, stop procrastinating, and feel good-enough by default. Clients come to me when they want to pursue their big dreams yet find they are in their own way, because self-sabotage, procrastination, fear and low self-worth stop them. I help my clients ditch their perfectionist mindset, adopt healthy habits and take back control of their lives. My clients learn to navigate life with grace and show up as their most authentic selves.
Life coaching is an art and a science. The best life coaches listen compassionately to your struggles, hear what you’re really saying and create a safe space where you can explore your own potential, identify what’s holding you back and develop strategies that actually work for you. It’s not about bombarding you with endless advice, it’s about helping you tap into your own wisdom, learn to be accountable to yourself and find success on your own journey.
The science of life coaching comes from the proven strategies used with clients. Mindset training can be a bit abstract, but with me it's not too "woo-woo". I'm a trained scientist (MSc) and am determined to find the research that supports true personal growth so we can become our best selves, the well-proven way.
Life beyond coaching
In my time off, I have diverse, ever rotating hobbies that I love doing. Some days you can find me quietly crafting, sewing and creating handmade gifts for my loved ones. Other days I’m operating power tools, refinishing furniture and building things for my house. I also am very adventurous, spending my weekends and holidays cycling, exploring new places and hiking with my partner. I love reading, and on calmer days you can find me curled up with a mystery, fiction or personal-development themed book.
